He explained to me a whole bunch of stuff he had no idea about his country until he got here.
His statement is still anecdotal and hearsay.. and fallacy of comp still stands.. hell hasty generalization as well. Can't figure out how to word this properly without potentially getting myself in trouble sense I plan to go visit soon. But the people and leaders are not necessarily in agreement.

Point is... there will always be "crazies" hell just like the other poster said.. plenty of people here(america) think they've been abducted by aliens or saw a ghost or any other extraordinary claim.. that shouldn't be how you determine the views of an entire group/country.

I'm also sure he learned plenty of things he never knew about his country... there is a lot of bullshit out there.. gotta know how to sort through it.. being an immigrant he probably doesn't have enough practice yet :P

i don't understand your lawyer language much, but I guess your trying to look down on my argument through logic arguments(?). I wish I could use public accounting in my rebuttal but I am failing to make a connection. oh well.
anyway, I completely agree with your last 2 paragraphs. There is a difficulty in understanding a county/region even by using actual citizens as examples. I certainly wouldn't say it was invalid completely though, it does have a long shot to being true without further evidence/research. you saying he/they need to learn how to sort through the bullshit is kind of my point, if the bull shit isn't a "hasty generalization". They may not have a way of sorting through it if its all they know, they only have one choice, but this may be anecdotal of me to say. But you may know more since your from the region......or maybe Iran is very very different than its Bedouin neighbors, ya that may be a comparative fallacy thinking you can relate.
I just don't know anymore, I am so confused, where did we start.
Jigoro Kano → Tsunejiro Tomita → Mitsuyo "Count Koma" Maeda → Carlos Gracie, Sr. → Jean Jacques Machado → Eddie Bravo → Myself
