    I have debated not competing due to fear of staph - ringworms not so much. I still haven't decided if I will compete again.

    I didnt know that u need a cut to get staph

    Both ringworm (which is a fungal infection not a worm) and staph are highly treatable infections.

    Go see your Dr, get some pills kill it off, rest up, you'll be back soon.

    Oh, if the staph doesn't respond to antibiotics and your MD thinks it might be MRSA, let me know, there's a ton of chinese herbs that can be used on antibiotic resistant staph with great success, including but not limited to Huang Qin (Scutellaria Baicalensis).

    As for the ring worm get an over the counter athlete's foot cream and some dandruff shampoo. Wash the area with dandruff shampoo every night and then apply the athlete's foot cream to the affected area when it's clean and dry. Both of those are cheap OTC antifungals.
