You might see those McDojo's with the big KARATE sign everywhere, but I'm at least in a legit gym.
I study under an actual student of Kenei Mabuni, who's father was the founder of Shito-ryu karate. People think it's all punches from the hip and it's not. Almost half the Japanese fighters in K-1 are Karate fighters these days. But this is some terrible shit, It reminds me of that Three guys one hammer video. Seriously I wouldn't recommend watching that. But always look and ask for credentials that certify people as a real teacher cause there are a lot of assholes out there who think they are masters of something. Like that George Dillman guy who can apparently knock people out with his Chi, but of course it only works on people who believe in it he says.
