Birmingham or east midlands airports would be the closest i think, but not sure if you could get a direct flight to east midlands from USA you'd have to check

I for one will fly into Germany on a Air Force plane (i fly for free with the gov) then ill dick around for a bit before heading into the UK. if anyone is interested, feel free to join me. Octoberfest starts in September, fyi.
