    What do you do to up your game?

    What other types of training or hell anything you do that helps with your jiu jitsu ... like me i do yoga,a little b-boy workouts and i even train with circus performers form oakland from time to time what about you?

    Have short and long term projects. Divide you training between technique, technical, tactical and conditioning. Force yourself once a week into your areas of least comfort. Last take advantage of the unexpected. This could be a chance to roll with someone from a different style or being forced to work your weak side due to injury.

    i like this i extend my hand out to other bjj schools to train with new people .... oh i also read alot of escape artist books mostly Houdini but really it helps i can escape from chokes like he did from chains always keep an open mind!

    I meditate or play the flute before practice. it really puts me in that state of mind where I can absorb information more efficiently. theres probably some kind of science to back it up I just never bothered to check.

    yeah dude that is real shit its just getting your mind to a calm state ill smoke and meditate before as well i also read HAGAKURE The Book Of The Samurai its a great read really makes you think and believe it or not chewing gum helps absorbing info.
