This is written by a local guy that has been training jiu jitsu for a number of years with a couple of different gyms. He's a 3 stripe Purple Belt and has this Blog called Choking Minnesota. He's known for having a drunken and goofy writing style.
He loves jiu jitsu and has a reputation for being very honest in his writings and keeps everyone in the area honest and in check with lineage and rank accuracy.
He decided to start traveling around to all of the schools in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area to get the word out that there is good jiu jitsu in Minnesota. We had never met him before contacting us about stopping into our gym but had read his blog.
