Has anyone ever seen a single "Krav Maga" style techinique in a You Tube street fight

We are in a remarkable age of information where we no longer have to speculate about what works on the street. We can go to You Tube and access thousands of street fight videos taken in day time, night time, in the US, overseas, group fights, single fights, girl fights, etc. I've watched a ton of fights and I see boxing techniques like hook punches all the time. I also see people using the mount, or side control or headlocks or other jiu jitsu style techniques.

However, I don't recall ever seeing a single traditional ju jitsu technique in a street fight video. Not one. No Krav Maga style trapping techniques. None of that Gracie Jiu Jitsu self defense technique stuff, no traditional Japanese Ju Jitsu arm locks.

I pointed this out to a Wing Chung guy and he explained that people who know these arts don't get into fights.

    Yeah, ok.

Can anyone point to a video showing one of these techniques used in a street fight?

krav like other combat self defense use situational awarness, knowing your surroundings, w/ the cats i see in krav at the school i go to got there head way to deep in their i phones and shit. so no vids no stories. krav is a great way to learn a groin strike i guess but i've never seen it implemented.

I just don't like fighting principles that put all of your eggs into one basket of hitting a target that's the size of a silver dollar. If you go for a full speed eye gouge with your fingers and miss, you'll probably break your finger on the cheek bone, ocular cavity, or the forehead. I mean seriously, what is the success rate of hitting a silver dollar sized moving target with your finger?

I could go on and on with other examples but more importantly is I like fighting systems that teach very basic principles and rules. Underhooks are good, keep your hands up, chin down, check kicks... etc etc. Getting into punch interception, junk kicks, and other stuff just seems like gross mis-investment of training time.

How about ridiculous (useless) Karate Kata's that most style's practice for hours and hours. Most importantly get graded to the next level from their kata and not their fighting ability. I would pick Krav Maga over most Karate styles. Not that I'm going to take it.

That skinhead fighting clip is regular punching and not an example of Japanese Ju Jitsu or Krav Maga style technique at all. So I've still yet to see one of those techniques implemented in a street fight. Although I've trained BJJ and Karate for quite a while, I believe boxing is really the best form of self defense. I know they don't train on the ground, but even an average boxer can hit you 5 times in 3 seconds. No other martial art is as quick and effective, IMHO. The problem with boxing is that the training is brutal. It's tiring and it hurts.

I believe Kata or Forms do serve a purpose, in balancing your mind and strengthening your Qi. Qi is life force, It may not be relevant to you. But, there is a huge difference between novice, master and Grand master. But you will never see a grandmaster fight because he doesn't have to prove anything to anyone, he has no ego, the only way to become a grand master is to not want to be one, and to practice for years, everyday and even then there is no guarantee. It's hard (even for me) to understand why you wouldn't want to prove yourself but I believe there is a big difference between martial art for sport and martial art for life. JMO.
