Whenever I put someone into mission control, they can grab my foot and yank the shit out of it downwards. This causes a lot of pain and forces me to release mission control, and if I hadn't stretched the shit out of my ankles from previous injuries I would like to bet most people would tap to such a move.
How can I counter this?
also, whenever against a larger opponent whom I have trapped in my half guard, it's almost impossible for me to escape if he has head and arm control on me, and keeps his weight on top, making the jaws of life hard to do, I've tried the stomps, but to no avail.
another problem I have is when i have been mounted by a much larger opponent, I cannot explode with enough force to shrimp out, and unless he tries to setup for an armbar by coming up onto one of his feet, he effectively destroys any chance of escape. Although, I can manage to trap him in my quarter guard. I can also get both of my feet to push on his chest or under his armpits to help push him off, but I feel as if he may try a leg lock or knee bar so I try to stay away from doing that.
Help and critique greatly welcomed.
