So I just graduated college and get married Aug21. Im going down to L.A Aug 8 to look for an apartment and was thinking of the Echo Park area since it is fairly close to HQ where i plan to train full time. Do you think finding a 1 bed room in Echo Park or like Silver Lake is impossible for about 975? I have a friend who said i would more than likely find something in Burbank for that price but im not sure how far that is from HQ. Any advice?......coming from Chicago so im super geeked!!!

try $1200-$1400, $975 will get you a studio in Compton or Watts.

it is completely possible to find a 1 bedroom at that price! just depends on your standards, maybe you'll find something for $1000. I live in a decent area in hollywood, 1 bedrooms average $1000 - 1400 in my area, depending on what you're looking for.

Every time I look online i see apartments for about 975-1000 in that area......unless they are bogus....i looked on legit websites and they say the same. Im driving out there to take my car and stuff Aug 5th and probably get there by the 8th. I fly back to chicago the 13th to get married. I probably will stop by HQ to check out the gym.
Do you think finding something in Burbank would be cheaper? I just dont want a super ghetto area....i did that in Chicago and i want out!!!!...lol

Maybe in a ghetto part of Burbank. I have a friend who's in a 1 bdrm + small loft here for $1800 a month. And, I rent a 2 bdrm house here in a good part of Burbank for $2200 a month. Burbank is a good area if you have a family. But, since you will be a newly wed and want to train at HQ, I would recommend finding a spot closer to HQ.
