So while I'm still new to Jiu Jitsu. I've been working some of my flexibility/dexterity quite a bit. Almost can get a full butterfly stretch going but I still seem to have trouble with my hip flexure being tense when I bring my foot/knee close to my face.
I've been doing quite a bit of triangle stretches and the like to target this tension and its showing results but I was hoping for some advice and stretching backgrounds from you guys.
1) What stretches outside the MTRG book have you found useful in your stretching in getting quite flexible? I've thought to use my resistance bands to help out the process.
2) About how long did it take you to get used to Mission Control? And afterwards Crackhead and Retard?
I know theres been some posts on stretching in the forums about some stretches that can be done. I've added quite a few to my workouts.
My intent for this post outside the questions was mostly about the process and trouble spotting some of the veteran blues/purple/whatever belts use to increase their flexibility in regards to Jiu Jitsu and the 10th Planet system. A kind of motivational thread for those of us still working to get at that level.
