Hm well maybe the reason the "screws" have been turned to chael is because of his shittyass behavior. Let me give you an example. When Sean Sherk got caught using steroids he immediately accepted the courts ruling and apologized. That's why I respect him as an athlete. Chael Sonnen not so much. In fact I'd go as far to say that if I have a kid and he ever acts like Chael Sonnen he'd have an ass redder than a cherry.

If we were much more open to individuals choices as to what they put in their
bodies, there wouldn't be any cover up. It's no secret, steroids exist, and are used.
Why slam every individual who chose to use them? I don't get it.

to use them. Is it an advantage? You tell me.

Yes, it is an advantage. It is also an unfair advantage because you aren't supposed to use them... it is against the rules. I know if I competed against someone juicing I would be upset. I feel that its impossible argue this point, but as to the choice of being able to do what you want with your body that's a bit more of a gray area. If you are just juicing and lifting to achieve a certain look then in my opinion you aren't hurting anyone but yourself so go for it, but if you are competing (especially in a combat sport) against someone who isn't juicing you are hurting someone (in both the physical and metaphorical sense) The rules about steroids are good rules that are looking out for the fighter's best interests in my opinion.

happens to be an absolutely incredible hitter.

Have to agree with most of that lol. I recently had this discussion with a friend of mine about Pacquiao. Even if he(or anyone) juices it doesn't automatically mean you're the best. Clearly you need to be skilled in whatever sport you are doing as well. I mean really, Chael didn't even beat Anderson...

I love Chael Sonnen. I have a feeling if I met him in person, I wouldn't like him at all, but his media personality is awesome.

The steroid argument is tired as fuck. I have never used steroids or prohormones, and have competed in weightlifting and grappling against guys who have. I beat some and lost to others. So what? They don't give you the advantage that you think they do, unless you are in a purely strength-based sport (powerlifting or weightlifting or strongman), and even then the effects are relative. Not to mention they have a whole host of benefits for aging men. When I'm 50 years old, THIS GUY will be juicing.

That's what annoyed the piss out of me about Caio Terra's rant, although I respect his grappling skills so much. He BEAT the guy that was juicing, but still feels the need to call him out in a public forum. Once again, so what? You just proved that steroids aren't the deciding factor.

And for whoever thinks that most pro athletes aren't juicing, you're sadly mistaken. They use steroids, prohormones, SARMs, insulin, GH, and all other kinds of stuff to heal from injuries and bulk up in the off-season. It's just the truth. No, it's not everyone, but it's far, far more than get caught with it. The FDA has been chasing around the prohormone industry for years, because every new formulation has a small part of the chemical chain altered to make the substance temporarily legal.
