Probably one of two things, Either your IT band is tight and the sound you hear is the tendon rubbing against the bone, or it's your cartilage the 2nd is worse because you eventually could wear out your cartilage, but most likely it's your IT band and it is fixable. Get a foam roller and look up IT band stretches and foam rolling. Take care of your body, as much effort should be made for recovery as working out.

Alflutop is a wonderful supplement. It's the best thing I've ever taken. It's a chondroitin based intramuscular injection with the concentration equal to taking 50 glucosamine/chondroitin tablets in one day. You do a 20 day cycle. It's also systemic so it'll help anything in your body. Look it up. It sounds a little hardcore, but it really isn't IMO. The key here is this IS NOT a drug, it's a supplement. You can buy it here: http://www.gh3-boutique.com/

My instructor had a 3/4" tear in his bicep tendon, not in the middle, but where the tendon attaches to the bone, so it isn't supposed to naturally grow back. Three doctors told him he needed surgery. He did a cycle of alflutop and the tendon completely repaired itself.

No, it is not sold in the US. You need to buy it directly from the manufacturer in Romania. The site is right there. A cycle will only cost you $60 with shipping.

Yeah, I know, people are turned away from it for two main reasons: it's from Romania and it's a intramuscular injection.

You can look up information on Alfutop online, there have been no serious side effects from it. It is concentrated fish extract. It's not a drug. There is a similar product called Adequan that has been used forever in the US for the same purposes with dogs, cats, and horses. The only difference is it's glucosamine based instead of chondroitin. When it comes down to it, the worse thing that is going to happen is nothing will happen for you. The person who introduced me to it works IT for venture capital cancer research companies, and he had some of the researchers look at it and they said it was amazing, the building blocks of tendons in the body. One of them now regularly uses it and swears by it. There's information to be found online, and the worse thing you'll find is people saying it did nothing for them. For the price and the possible benefits, I wouldn't even call it a risk giving it a try. I've personally done 3-4 cycles, and it has helped me recover from a torn MCL, hyper extension of my finger damaging tendons in my hand, and more. If you're not into it, then that's up to you.

Yes. It isn't a drug...it isn't approved or banned by the FDA because it's a supplement, not a drug.
