    butterfly guard problem

hey guys on some of the better guys i train with. when i have double underhooks in the butterfly and i lean back and extend my legs my parnter crosses his own legs preventing me from sliding my leg(s) through to go to 1legged x guard or x gauard. Also it restrics my ability to use my hooks for possible butterfly sweeps. Im haveing no problem getting full gaurd and assuming homie control ect.

dont lean back... get your back off the ground and get to the cocoon, then fall to your side.
though i cant see how it would be hard to sweep someone if they cross their legs. it seems to me that they'd have less base if they crossed their legs. youd have to show me it on video or something, ive never heard of it...

focus on JJ1 +2 sweeps xguard if he stands up, if he bases pyramid to rg. If you get put on your back he's going to pass if he has any game get to full guard.
