Matthias Sieber began his martial arts career as a young judoka. Matthias Sieber: Hello! My name is Matthias Sieber. How did the collaboration with Eddie Bravo?
After I fought in ADCC in Spain in November or December 2006, a former team-mate also has traveled to Barcelona to train with Robin Gracie. In his hotel room he showed me the legendary fight against Royler Gracie by Eddie Bravo in 2003. It was a nice match, which has remained in my memory.

After it became clear that the school at that time I trained, I no longer wanted to have on board, I have reoriented. I wanted to train grappling, because I had fallen in love with the sport. No optimal training conditions.

In addition to the 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu hours, we have introduced two years ago with Gi BJJ units. At the beginning Rodrigo Augusto has taught us. We originally started with Krav Maga and the EKMO (European Krav Maga Organisation) is the only organization to which we are affiliated with a school. What would you advise someone who wants to start martial arts?
Do it! Look at a few schools and was doing a few training sessions to the sample. If it amuses you, stay there. Not every school is the right thing for everyone. Therefore, look around you and stay there, where do you feel comfortable.

Many people follow a philosophy. This may in daily training, but also be integrated in life. You have philosophical approaches by which one you like to align the two things mentioned?
Hmm ... This is a very good question. I act from a deep conviction for me, and firm principles. These define my life and I sure need some time to wear it to the surface and to put into words. But let me try. Difficulties and problems I see as a chance to grow. This is true in daily training, and life in general up to me. In practice, such challenges are easy to spot.

In MMA Conditioning we do every three to four weeks, a so-called "Warrior Challenge". This is always the same from the three exercises. It is a time limit and the goal is, the number of repetitions performed cleanly from the last time to beat. My personal benchmark is rolling with a training partner with very good defense. How often can I submit Jessica in six minutes? On the other hand there is Carlos. How long will I live with him when he attacked my legs? Life itself offers many opportunities every day to grow as a person. Not all of these opportunities can be identified as such and very positive, but that's life. I develop in what I do all the ambition and want to deal with things just as a bare minimum and above average. Also, I refuse at this point in my life regressions to make. This mindset has helped me especially in recent years to deal with my injuries. Basically, I mean it very well but with my fellow man.

Which technology is your specialty?
I continue to work on my technique Gagging Spider. I could fall so far so no brown belts. But in general, are among my favorites strangulation. Rear Naked, and D'Arce choke Triangle are probably my most successful submissions.

Where do you see yourself in five, ten and twenty years?
There's many possible scenarios. In five years I see myself more travel around the world. Further dissemination of 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu in Europe, further training camps in Los Angeles. And then maybe I will learn to surf so well last time. In 5 years I have made the most of the tasks in the sports school, am more than a visionary CEO and I can possibly give my first Lilagurt. I myself would like to have trained at the time so much that I am a solid brown belt in 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu. And two of my unfinished tattoos should by then be finally finished.
