    5-htp

    After hearing alot of the Deathsquad crew talking about it having been giving it a go for a month or so now and I definatley think I am sleeping the best I have for a while (always had trouble sleeping)

    Who knows if it has anything to do with the 5-HTP or not but was just curious on how many other guys are taking it, how much and when.

    I have been taking 100mg about and hour before bed but last night upped it to 200mg after hearing a guy of Rogans podcast was taking 400mg which seems a fuck load.

    i've been hearing this and considering it as well and maybe you can tell me from your month of experience... are you supposed to take it before you go to sleep and does it cause anything like a stimulant like effect or drowsiness or does it act as a sleep aid? because i have sleeping problems and i am wondering if the dosage has an effect on how your body feels. and do you feel smarter as people claim as well?

    You know alot of people who are heavy into the psychedelic realm
    use 5-HTP in conjunction with drugs and just as a daily supplement.

    However....there is no evidence as of yet that it increases your htp or serotonin
    levels in the brain at all. Obviously, by ingesting it, you are raising
    the levels in your body, but there has been nothing (solid) yet that says it
    crosses the blood-brain barrier, which is what it would have to do
    to change your brain chemistry.

    Honestly it's been a while since I've really researched the stuff, so maybe
    something new has happened in the research, but last I researched it,
    it fit into the category of over the counter supplement with little to no proof
    of doing what it claims to do. Don't take that the wrong way though, many
    of those supplements fall into that category because "real" scientists have
    not done "real" tests on it for extended periods of time.

    I bought some cheap 5HTP from walmart. I tried taking it but I suck at remembering to take pills. Plus I'm a big dude (290-310lbs) and I was only taking 100mg a day. I'm sure I need a bit more in my system for it to work. I think I'm gonna buy another bottle of a better brand and give it a month run at a higher dosage.

    I've been taking it for about two months and I have to say it's the shit. I take it with lecithin, b6, ginko biloba and serotonin before bed and it's legit, insanely vivid dreams which are even better if you're good at lucid dreaming I get dreams within dreams and it's pretty much the matrix. I read something about taking it orally being sketchy because it crosses the blood brain barrier or something but it also helps memory a lot and it even makes smoking weed better if you can believe that. I can't wait to see what's up with the cocktail Rogan is gonna release too tho.
