72 Hours with Urijah Faber VID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted on June 19, 2011 by MMAWeekly.com Staff
    Urijah Faber

    Urijah Faber

Urijah Faber is used to being in the spotlight. He’s been the main event over and over again. But on July 2 at UFC 132, Faber steps into the brightest spotlight of his career in the biggest fight of his career.

Faber squares of with UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz, a man he’s defeated once before.

Only this time, unlike four and a half years ago in the WEC, Faber will be the challenger try to wrest the belt from Cruz.

After dropping and failing to regain his featherweight crown, Faber earned the shot at Cruz by rebuilding himself as a bantamweight fighter. Making the move to 135 pounds, he immediately found success, reeling off wins over two of the divisions best fighters in Takeya Mizugaki and Eddie Wineland.

MMAWeekly.com content partner Conner Cordova followed Faber for 72 hours leading up to his title shot clincher against Eddie Wineland at UFC 128. He had unbridled access to take a deeper look at Faber and just what a fighter of his caliber goes through not only leading up to a big fight, but also through a career that reaches the pinnacle of mixed martial arts.

I was the Expo in Boston, too, but I didn't get to meet Faber since his line was too long. I got some far away pictures, though.
