That's weirdest thing. I've just started using Z-Guard last week without knowing what it was because I was just working options on a scissors sweep and just last night I wrote out all these moves and then come on here today to find this "Z-Guard" thing with all the stuff I wrote out last night. This is definitely the best way to finish a kimura IMO. So much more leverage.

anyway here's a better question, in the ep11 hazellet segment, eddie mentions 2002 guard.. now i have no idea what the heck thats supposed to be..

i'm really interested in seeing this sweep of yours. i noticed that this is right from double-unders lockdown which i'm sure a bunch of people would just use instead of going to the stomp and such.

well, it is from the stomp, except with an underhook instead of an overhook.
theres actually two ways to get there, you can get the stomp first and then fish the underhook, which is probably easier to get from the stomp then it is from the lockdown.

or you can get the double unders and then stomp them like i already mentioned. this is also cool because sometimes you get the double unders but you cant whip up. so now if you end up in lockdown and cant whip up, you can stomp them instead and theres a sweep right there.

anyway, i was playing today... figured out a few things about that swep.
firstly, its important you use that pimp arm to remove the base from their free knee, by pushing it forward, before you go for the sweep.
also, it turns out that the sweep can be stopped, but only if the guy posts on both his hands. its a non issue though, because at this point, both their legs will be in midair. you can easily use it to pull guard if you have to. you could probably even use it to transition into the pyramid..
