defense to the omoplata- standing up

in most cases the second i get to jiu claw now I can finish it now with the rolling omoplata, perpendicular jiu claw, imanari.. ect. but theres two people at my gym that stand up once i get into jiu claw and I know you can drop down to the legs for leg locks, but i was wondering if there was a way to prevent that stand up?
i've watched eddie roll and seen where he does almost like a modified carni and then collapses them. Ive tried but there being to explosive and bringing both feet at the same time then lifting to where theres no chance to hook that leg, or there pushing heavy on that shin sheild when its under the neck while i have that modified carni so it forces me to go jiu claw where they just pick me up again! you cant go sorcerer because there foots on the mat with there knee up so thats not an option.
any of you higher level belts or any have a solution please help! thanks

Eddie goes over this in one of his MTS episodes. He purposely uses a much larger person to demo the move. I can't remember which one it was or what he called it, but the idea was changing the angle of the omo. because his partner was a bigger dude, he was able to hold eddie up while in omo.

Now i'm going to reactive ate my pro membership to find this episode and watch the MTS that i missed while i was in afghanistan.

If you watched conor heuns fight...that was almeidas defense as well. Its a legit defense to the omo. I usually invert and attack the legs....but its tough...

I forget what it's called but you essentially kick your outside leg away from your opponent while retaining wrist control. The momentum will jerk them back down where you can reassert your position.

I thought the ice pick was when you crossed your ankles, extended your legs, and forced them back down? Either way, they have to posture before they stand. If a dude was fully standing up and I was just hanging their I would just grab their ankle and slide off their arm into a knee bar.
