I started training in traditional BJJ (in the gi) in Early 2007. I trained for about 6 months and then I moved. I didn't train again until the middle of 2008. In 2008 I trained for about 3 months (Gi BJJ) and then the school closed. I didn't get on the mats again until last year when I hooked up with Brandon from 10thplanet Decatur. I trained one night a week for about 3 months and then again I had to stop. A new school opened here about 3 months ago so I have been training both gi and no gi since it opened.
So as far as experience, I've put some time on the mat but a lot of it was "refreshing" what I had forgotten on my layoffs. I want to compete and I don't want to sandbag but I also don't want to make too big of a leap if I'm not there. I personally don't think I am anywhere near blue belt level in the gi or 10thplanet system but I tend to have a low opinion about my skills.
So in your unbiased opinion (from someone that has never trained with me) based on experience alone, what division do you think I should sign up for?
