Tech reasons on why MTS is streamed in Flash

Hope that title made sense.

Basically I, like I am sure all the other pro members using iPhones would love to be watching MTS straight on our phones.

As I have no idea about why stuff is done in flash as opposed to whatever can be viewed on your iPhone, just wondering if someone could tell me why Eddie does the MTS this way? Is it easy to change? and if so any chance future MTS could be uploaded to show the iPhone some love?

The video is actually .mp4. The player is flash based. I think you would have to talk to the webmaster about why they went with that format. I know MGinAction uses a flash wrapper and .flv files.

I feel the frustration. I am an Iphone user as well but I blame Steve Jobs its like hes in a pissing contest with the internet and expects the internet to give into him.

Ah, I hadn't noticed it was .mp4 so after I've downloaded it I should be able to just chuck it in itunes then and play it on my phone then without having to convert it?

I can't say for sure but you should. I actually downloaded them, edited all the non technique stuff out and then converted them to a smaller .mp4 to play on my cruz tablet. Went from 9 gig (after the edits) to right around a gig for all of the videos (in .mp4) after the conversion.

So Now I can bring them with me on my tablet and I don't need interwebs YAY!

Alright here is the problem though it wont work if you use windows movie maker to edit it. Any ideas? Im guessing I will have to convert it after that. The only options it gives you for saving in movie maker is for computer, email, windows phone, zune, ext. It doesn't tell you what format you are saving it in.

I used live movie maker to edit them. It saves in .wmv files. Then I used mediacoder to re-convert them to mp4.
