The guys competed so well! I'm extremely proud of them all! Unfortunately me and Joey and Dave were forced to enjoy it from the sidelines due to injuries. Mine occurred last week, hurt my lower back training, looking at a few weeks off from jiu jitsu before I'll be able to roll again. So disappointing to have to watch and not participate, but it was still nice to see our team dominate so much! Hopefully next tournament in July we will have our full competition team injury free and kicking ass! 6 10th planeteers are always better than 3!

I'll be adding a SHITLOAD of pictures and videos from the tournament today on the 10th Planet Miami Hotbox website (www.10thplanetmiami.com) so check in the next few days for a play by play of the tournament. And trust me, the matches were GREAT! We came from behind to win multiple times! You'll enjoy the videos when they're uploaded!

Medals are fun, but the experience is even more fun. I loved every second on the mat. It was neat how all the yelling and screaming became white noise and the sounds that filtered through to my mind were my corner's voices and breathing. I love how competition can become a teaching tool to show you where specific parts of your game need work.

Quick question, are wrist locks allowed in novice adult divisions under IBJJF rules?
