That's too vague man, it really depends on your body, what your diet is like and what steps you are taking to minimize the breakdown of your bones/muscles. (ice baths, contrast showers, PEDs or what have you)

Well for me still recovering from a herniated disc, over-training is when I am feeling sore & not taking the time to rest but yet keep training until the pain stops me from stepping onto the mat. 1 have about 3 days a week in me. sometimes only one. Used to be twice a day, 5 days a week. So in-conclusion, "over-training" would consist of not listing to your body when it tells you it is not feeling well. Some people are just hard headed.

    pretty much what above.
I consider it over training when you are training with injuries, or when you are too stressed out or pissed off to focus.

if you are a young healthy guy you can pull off 5 times a week easy just make sure to eat right, and do everything you can to keep your body from breaking down. so make sure you get enough protein and carbs or your body is not gonna respond well. also take some glucosamine and omega 3 to reduce inflamation keep cartilage lubed. if your body's feeling really sore fill up your bath with water, buy a bunch of ice from the store and take an ice bath. it reduces inflamation and helps remove the excess lactic acid from your muscles. Acai berries are great for keeping your body in optimal condition as they are full of antioxidants. If you like to jog try and do it in grass as it will keep your joints from wearing down over time.

so if you train right and eat right then you should be allright 5X a week.

Best thing I've found for sore thighs is Tiger Balm & Ice bath. Maybe throw on some knee braces since the joints will be weak from the muscles not being strong enough to keep the ligaments tight. Just let your Sensi know and he/she should understand that you would like to take it a little easy that day. Unless they were a former Russian Military Officer then your screwed.

Depends. If it's just muscle soreness, that dull kind of burning sensation, you can train on and be fine. That soreness is what most weightlifters and crossfitters have to deal with every day anyway.
If you've got sharp or stabbing pains within the muscles or joints, take a day off. Training will only make things worse, either more sore or causing actual injuries.
