Duz anyone know any instructions to using Quarter Guard like a boss like Eddie does?

I look at a lot of rolls from Master Eddie. All he needs is a foot. I've drilled this stuff. Quarter guard mini stomp to lockdown. but more often than not i get my quarter guard passed. How confident does a man have to be to just say fuck it and pull quarter guard? pretty confident. i wish my rolls were as simple as this. I mean lockdown is after full guard, after open guard then lockdown. Quarter guard? dang. Does anyone have any recipes for some good food? By that I mean does anyone have quarter guard tips?

I don't play a lot of quarter guard, but it seems like keeping their knee controlled and close to your body in is critical. In order to slide out of quarter guard and pass most people need to get their knee away from your body, sweeping it wide to go to side control. Not allowing the knee to pass wide is very restricting on leg motion.

hey there knee is good advice. i mean i agree with that thanks. i also have some great advice for you. if you ever go to prison sharpen the fuck out of your plastic dinner fork. how do you do that? just like you would sharpen a knife front back, front back, front back. Just like when your doing the bad thing with a woman i mean......didn't mean to say that......sorry.... I want to turn my quarter clinch into Eddie's master piece. It must be so fucking relaxing just to pull quarter guard against every mother fucker you face. such an easy thing to do. and THEN get the fucking lockdown to a sweep like someone who rules an empire. Thats what happens when your bad as fuck yo. yo.

i usually play quarter to set up half spider Gi sweeps, as for no GI, i usually go quarter to deep half & x guard sweep, quarter is a great entry & transition position. as for the knee cutting, try pushing the knee to stop the pass & readjust your guard but don't just hang out there or you'll get passed eventually

for quarter guard, I trex my arms and then literally elbow the persons knee as far in between my legs as possible. If the person does not adjust I can transition into half guard super easy, or shrimp out under the persons legs, and unless they have a whizzer (which they usually don't if they let me go this deep.) i can transition to the truck or the back.
After you pull that once or twice they will stay tighter and closer and you will only be able to transition to dogfight from the quarter guard.

Practice your deep half, De La Riva (DLR) and Inverted DLR guards. The concepts are similar, and they will help you know when to turn into the person, when to come up and get to your knees for the takedown/sweep/back-take, when to roll the other direction, etc. It's all about transitional BJJ, rather than treating 1/4-G like a position to stay in. ...At least for me

Your kinda runnin down the hallway ignorin open doors full of kfc extra crispy and tall glasses of red diamond. So many other things can open up if you can control the foot and combine the 1 foot control guards. I like Harry's advice too. But really penduluming your legs while controlling the foot to deep half and back can bring your mini stomp wide open. If you dont already sweep with deep half.
