That is interesting. I feel bad that my state is only 4th on the list. We have some work to do!

    "2. Montgomery Country, Maryland

If jobs are what attract you, then this upscale community close to our nation's capital offers the mother of all magnets.

The first step to getting a job is to visit a Casa De Maryland (CASA) Welcome Center. Their employment specialists help you find a job and don’t give a hoot about your legal status. They will even help you acquire an IRS-issued taxpayer identification number because, of course, you’re here illegally and not eligible for a real Social Security number. This powerful organization is truly the illegal alien Welcome Wagon with $16 million in assets, $4.9M of it acquired in 2010 from government contracts!"

So essentially, you can get a job, earn money, become integrated in society, and you won't sell drugs for a living.. yeah, I can see how that pisses some people off, duh..

I'm sorry did I miss reading something in that obviously sarcastic article that said " Illegals resort to selling drugs if they don't find work"?

Nope, but in my country you aren't allowed to work while waiting to become a citizen. A lot of people I know turn to selling drugs. If they are rejected, they stay and hide, and then their only income is crime. The first part is a quote from the article, the last part is my opinion, that giving illigals work would put a damper on crime. I might be wrong though, I don't live there, and politics isn't really my forte..

I'm having a hard time reading the tone of the article. I can read it as a dig to these states and illegal aliens and I also read it as a source for illegal aliens to find work and states that make it easier for their lives.
For instance here in Washington, we often get shrugged at for allowing illegals to get Drivers Licenses. But the fact of the matter is there is a large agricultural scene here and what would you rather have, illegals legally driving, or illegals illegally driving?
But like I said, it's hard to read what the article is trying to accomplish.
Jigoro Kano → Tsunejiro Tomita → Mitsuyo "Count Koma" Maeda → Carlos Gracie, Sr. → Jean Jacques Machado → Eddie Bravo → Myself

No worries bro lol. Everyone is welcome to their opinion. The drug sales bit gets tossed around alot here. Trust me, it's not my forte either. I was just interested in why an article dripping with such isolationalist sarcasm got Brian angry.

My friends usually sell pot, and they don't hurt no one, so I have no problem with that, lol!

Immigration is a complex thing, it seems it's like that's the case in every nation. There's problems, and there's good things about immigration. I'm not for, and I'm not against, one ideally just need a healthy politic that works. In my country the police aren't getting the money they need, and the laws are a bit weird.. We can throw out a a parent with kids, if the state discovers she's working.

The kids get to stay, but the mother is sent back. So no working while in the country, unless you are a citizen. You also have to back up your request to stay with papers. No papers, no stay. That implies that people may be sent back to war zones, with no money, and in a potentially life threatening situation. So they evade the police if they are told they have to go back.

Now, If they could get work, they'd work. If they can't get work, they turn to an alternative income, selling drugs. So essentially, we are importing crime. It doesn't bother me much, but people in general are becoming more sceptical. That's why I see a work permit for illegals as a humane and smart way of hindering crime, while using immigrants as a resource. If the state give them a certificate to work, then they should also be paid properly, not taken advantage of, so I see that as a positive thing! Yeah, it's a sarcastic article, it's Fox, lol!

I like your way of thinking Sir. I would be pleased if the United States stopped saying "Illegals" and say what they really mean..."Mexicans"
