Agreed. Saying there is nothing outside of science can only be said through faith. But your kinda generalizing athiests. Although the majority ive met as well, do tend to just bash religion with no intent on growth, evolution, or progress. Pointing out mundane falicies in religious texts with self richeous arrogance only to prove the already known. Many do like to argue alot for some reason. The ones who make more sense seem to be more agnostic.
Sciences and Newtonian physics def rule our perception of reality and should be focused and studied in a more constructive manner than our education system provides imo as well. But it is a fact that our perception is extremely limited and so much goes on that is unperceived. So if we nail ourselves down to only believing what we allow our reality to teach us, it seems to me that we greatly hinder our evolution as conscious beings. We should instill critical thinking abilities, common sense, and rational thought in institutions along with the premise that so much is unkown and let the mind thrive from there. imo
