Rubber guard short legs
You guys ever have a problem getting crackhead control when the dude is just realy wide? Maybe I'm just doing it wrong? I got short thick legs, does that matter?

i do have that same issue sometimes with wide guys for sure. i think you might just have to adjust your angle. maybe get more onto your right hip.
that said, i have issues with my rubber guard for the opposite reason, legs too damn long. eff

Yeah, a harder angle (on your side) can help. If that doesn't work then I usually regress into an overhook guard (see The Pyramid).

swinging your leg wide like REALLY wide helps a lot
if youre close, you can use your hand to try and place it
getting on the hip is paramount
