Fixed, and agree 100%. Thanks for the insight into my own psyche.

im not much of a shotgun guy but the AA 12 is filthy. Every anti zombie fire team needs a shot gunner for door breaching and raw power that the shotgun brings to the table.

False. It's situtation dependent. It's been shown exhaustively that the average adult with knife in hand can close a distance of 21 feet and deal a potentially fatal blow in under a second and a half. That's faster than just about anyone can draw from retention and get a shot off (and even then, first shot stoppages are relatively rare in handgun shootings). Adjust for the fact that most knife attacks happen at much closer distance than that, and that the first time most stabbing victims see the knife is after they've been stabbed at least one time, and it's pretty clear that at close distance unless you have the drop on guy your .357 mag might not do you any good.

And, see this video, where a guy with a knife manages to murder several cops wielding AK47s, before they get a shot off:

Actually, now that I think about it. It's not false, because your analogy is also situation dependent. There are times when a BJJ black belt could pwn and AR15 (i.e. extreme close quarters). So, it is an accurate analogy. I guess I'll eat my words on that one.

Still, it's a topic worthy of study.
