This Heatwave in the midwest sucks.

I currently am missing out on any training with a partner because no ac at the dojo and everyone had been bailing on class. I would never bail on Jiu Jitsu so I work on technique with my dog and home drills with a boxing bag with belt tied on. I am about to start visiting friends gyms that have ac & other gyms offering the 1 free class just to keep on track.

When the AC breaks at the gym I train only the truly dedicated show up. There are about 10 of us that are there no matter what. When it snows the guys with trucks call around and pick up the other guys on the way to class. Dedicated guys that will roll no matter what are priceless. Keep hydrated!

Oh and I work tech with my dog also. I hold treats in my hands and work Brazilian leg drills. 75 lb pitbull that knows how to pummel. The bastard learns quick. He even pins other dogs down using their collar. He makes me so proud! I should get this on youtube. What do you do with your dog? What kind of dog do you have?

Rolling with a dog, weird. lmao. I have a Lab Sheperd mix about 60-70lbs. I usually just work guard sweeps armbars triangles guillotines mount side control. the dog has different body structure so not everything works right. I have had him yelp more then once. luckily nothing that lasted over 5 minutes of favoring. I even got greedy and tried to get him to pass-out from a triangle but no luck. I really dont want to hurt him so I wont try that again.
I have also thought about youtube the stuff would be funny. maybe in the next couple weeks when I get a new camera.

That sucks about the training partners. The fight team minus the Elite FS guys conditioned tonight. 3 rounds of crossfit, 3 rounds of abs, inside in the AC and finished up 3 rounds of flipping tires, sledge hammers on tires and the rower outside......fucking brutal. We have AC but we try not to put it on. We like the Thailand feel while training. But it has been way to hot. My half red nose pit /Half Amercian Bulldog was 70 pounds of muscle before she passed away. She was a killer running partner and would grapple with me for an hour straight before she was crash out.
