    10th Planet San Fran help

Ok, so I'll be going out to stay with my family in Marin on August 8th-15th. I want to drop by the gym at least once if not more and was wondering what the best days are to come in and train. What days and times do the best guys show up so I can get my ass handed to me? I'd really like to roll Denny but understand that doesn't always go down like I want, who knows though. Also what are the other really good gyms in the area? I've been to 10th Planet Decatur and loved it so this will be my 2nd moon to visit and am pretty excited. Hopefully I can bring back some tricks to the Mobile Hotbox. Any advice would be appreciated. Travel will be a main concern of mine, I don't want to be too dependent on my family so does anyone use public transportation to get there? Thanks to anyone who can help me out in anyway!

I'd say most any night is good there and Saturdays sometimes. Denny is usually there but might be out of town right now in which case you can get tapped by Travis instead (his assistant). If BART went up to Marin it would be easy to get there but I think you have to take a bus into town instead so it will be a little trek. I miss those fools, please tell them Chris Odell said hello.

Haha I like the way you worded that, get tapped by Travis instead lol. I'd prefer to get tapped by both in all actuality but either ways fine. I'll be staying in Mill Valley, will the bus system be incredibly ridiculous or do-able? You see i'm not use to public transportation so don't really know what to expect, our system in Mobile is not really efficient so I don't even attempt. Also if I'm taking a long bus ride back, does the gym have a shower I could use as to not offend anyone riding?

Been there twice. Everyone was very cool. My friend dropped me off. He lives in Petaluma (about 40 miles away) and it took us two hrs to get there once. Got stuck trying to get across the Golden Gate. It gets real steamy in there so have your ankle sleeves. I can't wait to go back.

I teach Monday-Friday 7-830, Tuesdays and Thursday 530-7pm and Saturdays 1230-2pm. My assistant Travis Magalit teaches Monday and Wednesday 1230-2pm. I am sure that you will be able to get in some good rolls in any of the classes. As far as other gyms to check out I recommend el nino sports, ftcc, and caio terra's. As far as public transportation goes I would say bart but I don't know if it goes to Marin.

If the two of you are there at the same time, I also recommend rolling with Adam Sachnoff, aka Big Red. He won the IBJJF World No-Gi Championships in the Blue Belt Super Heavy division earlier this year, and he's now a purple belt.
