No disrespect towards Dan Henderson, he is tough and is resume speaks for it self.
Well mma is fighting so if you win fights like that than more power to him

I think you might wanna train your eye a bit better to see the finer points of his game. Or just look deeper than the rough edges. His stand up isn't crisp, I'll give you that. But if you have watched his career, trying to be a technical striker has never really helped him. He's a wrestler, not a boxer. He didn't start finding success with that H bomb until he started throwing like a slugger. But his ground work, clinch work, and cage presence is far from just a slugger.

In fact, check the reversal he pulled on Fedor prior to the stoppage. That right there was pure technique. It was so pretty I rewinded it like 10 times.

Most of the short fight he just slugged with Fedor, but that reversal was awesome.

Yes, it might just be that i am not knowledgeable enough on wrestling to give the proper value that Henderson deserves and i haven't seen most of his fights.

You are right though. his stand up is slugger style all the way though. He doesn't box you. He tries to take your head off. But that's because his "boxing" sucks. LOL.

That was back in 2000 and isn't really relevant to his current status in MMA as Corky implied.

wins fights. worked against fedor so he's doing something right. If you're a world class wrestler you don't have to be anderson silva on you're feet. If you've done even a LITTLE jiu jitsu you can still appreciate his wrestling. grappling skills transcend names.

I wouldn't mind seeing Dan sign up for a 2-3 fight contract with UFC, I haven't really seen him fight too much (before my time with MMA). If he has the guts to challenge Rampage or Jones then yeah all the power to him (and who knows, maybe he would seek a chance to redeem himself against Silva or Shields).

    It is for Anderson Silva
