YES!!!!! THis is fucking awsome! She fought the bear, circling with her hands down, slipped the right paw and stepped in with a left hook & right uppercut. Early stoppage but still impressive. Bragging rights go through the roof for this Lady!

I encountered a black bear a few days ago with my wife. Was backed up against a waterfall, thought for sure I was going to fight it...it wasn't too big so I was literally thinking, "how do I take it's back and choke it" as opposed to striking with it lol

On a serious note, that was kinda scary. I jump sometimes when a dog barks suddenly at me, mad props to her to fight back and not run away (which basically leads to u being cut down) or trying to climb a tree (also a dead end strategy). Hopefully none of us ever have to be in that situation and defend ourselves against a wild bear.

Pepper Spray is all you need in bear country..Bears have like the best sense of smell in the entire animal kingdom...so if you hit it with pepper spray they will move away from you quickly
Most bear attacks are defensive( bear has cubs or is startled/frightened) you rarely see bears attacking people with the intent on eating them.
It doesn't matter if you have been doing jiu jitsu for 25 years...if the bear is a decent size bear and wants you dead you are pretty fucked. Having a knife is your only chance.
