So had my first Muay Thai match Saturday night at American Fighting Alliance's Ground Zero event. I was the only JR on the card. I lost a 3 round decision. Sent Master Eddie A picture of my eye....... It's pretty nice.lol. Like I told Eddie, gets pretty old fighting over my head. Kid was going on 16. weighed in almost 10 pounds heavier than we were told he was , and was told he was 2-0 find out night of weigh ins he was really 6-0. Not making excuses, it's just the way it is. My dad told them to go get (BEEPED) because of all the smoke around the kid. But I begged him to let me fight. He said it would be a tough fight to pull off......he's going to be faster and stronger because of the age differance..... he was. But I didn't care.
Did pretty well most of first round hit him with some nice kicks had him backing up most of 1st round. Real nice spinning backfist landed to. Than he caught one of my kicks and swept my base leg. Shin kick right to the knee wrecked it. round ended could barley put any weight on it, had a lump the size of a baseball.lol.
Didn't take long for him to figure out in 2nd round I couldn't kick. Every time I moved on that knee felt like it was going to fold. So only had my hands. His were faster. But I hung in throwing back the rest of the fight, he could never finish me. Real world he was all mine, I swept him a bunch of times couldn't help but think, Yeah thats right real fight your ass would be taking a nap right now!!!! lol. But it's Muay Thai and he kicked my ass next 2 rounds.lol.
I told Eddie it does get a little old always competeing over my head. I don't remember the last time I have been matched with a kid my own age. They are always 15 or 16.
My dad tells me to be patiant, by the time i'm 17 it won't matter I will be able to hang with anyone. Lets hope.
High side at the after party the Tilted Kilt girls (it's kinda like hooters for those that don't know) couldn't get enough of running there fingers thru my hair and kissing my bruised eye. The life of a fighter is good ....even in defeat.lol.
