I've been doing BJJ for about a year now and have been working some 10th planet techniques into my game for about the last month.
At first, I was taking people by surprise with the whip up, and generally didn't have a hard time getting the whip up and going from there. Now, guys in class know what I'm going to try to do when I get the lock down, and they've really started to clamp on to me once I get it.
They fight against my underhooks, but I can pretty much always get them. When my arms are below theirs though, they'll wrap an arm around my neck and hold on for dear life. It pretty much stops their offense, but still, I'm on bottom and having a tough time getting anything going.
Are there options from the lockdown, for guys clamped down on top of you, that don't involve the whip-up? Are there techniques for getting the whip-up on a guy that is doing everything he can to stop it?
I know you guys must deal with this all the time, especially in a 10th planet school where everyone knows your intentions from the lockdown. Any advice you can give will be appreciated.
