My question is related in a way, so I'm going to put it here too.

Do most the 10th planet moons have specific times they do testing? If you can make it into a moon, is it better to try and get ranked there as opposed to doing an online ranking? I'm asking for people that aren't consistently able to attend moon schools but live say 2-3 hours from one. Can people get ranked by attending moons during certain times, or will instructors not give ranking based on that little personal review?

I guess I'm asking if you can't attend a moon school consistently can you still get ranked there, or in that case is it better to try and do the online stuff???

I think it really depends on the instructor. My instructor doesn't do specific testing times. You would get promoted once put in the time and if you deserve it. I think in order to get promoted from any instructor you have to put in a lot of training time with that particular instructor. Like say you can't make it regularly to group classes at least get private lessons to really get in tight with the instructor.
So really either way its going to take time wether you do online ranking or take the time to travel to a moon. Personally I like training with a 10th Planet instructor but obviously that's not an option for some people.

Its not as easy as just going to a seminar and showing off some skills and testing, I don't do tests. My students work their asses off for years before they get ranked; consitancey in training, skill development, competeing, proving their dedication and further development of the system are all taken into consideration for a promotion from me. However that doesn't mean, you have to train at our Academy to make that all happen. I have long distance students that work hard at doing all those things.
