I like Ron Paul. I do disagree with him on abortion and creationism.

There are very few candidates that you find that you can agree about everything with them on.

As far as his views on creationism go, evolution is only a theory. It's not scientific fact. With the evidence presented it may be the closest thing to fact that we have, but it is not fact. Creationism is an alternative theory, and though I may not agree with it, as a theory it holds the same weight as evolution.

There is also something to be said for Paul's views on Civil Rights. Anytime the government has fast tracked things in this arena it has gone badly. I'm not saying that any person is better than another when it comes to race. What I am saying is that when the United States government has legislated for race, sex or any other group protections there has been a divided country and violence. The legislation has been poorly thought out and led to more problems than it has solved.

Sheltering oneself from truth in order to protect one's emotions is a natural human defense mechanism. Most people think with their emotions. What I mean to say is that they let their emotions dictate the course of their actions. You aren't supposed to "think" with your emotions; you are supposed to feel with them. Afterward, we must then use ingenuity and logic to first interpret our emotions, and then design a plan to deal with the cause of them. Every view I hold comes from research, observation, and internal logical debate. I don't talk out of my ass. If I'm ignorant on a subject, I leave it be until I've done my own research.

To do that would be violating the property rights of the parents or legal guardian, and it should be severely protected against. However, is it acceptable to let a parent make that decision? Many animals abort in times of draught or famine. Sometimes, mothers with mental instabilities kill their children because they are incapable of proper care. Many animals are prevented from the natural process of aborting and engaging in infantcide by humans in zoos all over the world, and they suffer for it.

A child is a part of its parents, even after birth. They are genetically and hormonally linked. You can try to deny it, but you are only denying biology. Only the parent has the right to make decisions about its own children. Society is deficient. Politics and the legal system aside, violent crime has steadily dropped since the legalization of abortion. Children under threat of abortion have a higher risk of being raised in hostile environments and becoming emotionally and mentally unstable. In any case, forcing someone to raise a child they think would be better off dead will not have a pleasant outcome.

It is very easy to get caught up in the power of dictating morality. To do so responsibly is impossible. Morality is an intangible, flexible concept that varies widely between different cultures and different individuals.

I don't wanna go into a debate about creationism just theory part you say just because its "theory" doesn't lump into the same as creationism as evolution is backed by mountains of evidence while creationism is purely backed by the bible ,what would it be called if people took Greek mythology serious "group intelligent design" or something? would you say the theory of gravity isn't valid only cause its theory? again Im not debating creationism just your use of argument for theories.

I totally get what you're saying about creationism lacking strong evidence as a theory. The problem is where the very small holes in evolution give people room to attack it. There is very little scientific research to back creationism as a thoery, my point was more that you can't just throw away what one says because they are wrong in another area.

What Bachman won was a straw poll. It has no bearing on the GOP primary or really anything. No president has won the Iowa straw poll except for W.

Im not saying gravity isnt real but read that article explaining the laws and theories of gravity or attraction between two objects
it shows how wonderful science is even with so much evidence if its not proven completely its theory until proven which sooner or later happens.

And I believe depending on the evidence you can just "throw away" another one if it is proven wrong for example creationism is based on the idea that the earth is 8,000 years old now if we carbon date prehistoric fossils we can show proof the fossil has been around for a little bit longer than 8,000 years (gotta love sarcasm) so that automatically disproves creationism.

Of course no one is just gonna admit "your right" and live on, no they're gonna fight schools and courts to force schools to teach this crap its the good old american way "Im always right and if you say im wrong ill cut you down (or sue you nowadays)"

Now as for Ron Paul even though he's a creationist at least he doesn't try to pass bills to force schools to teach it or shove it down peoples throats but I'm betting alot of people think hes gonna do that and according to the pro Rons here he doesnt want that so thats sort of a + as for his other policies im not informed enough to know and everybody here keeps arguing about whats true or not in his history which sounds just like every other politician ever lol.

You do know what subjective means right? Do you know what an opinion is? What you have said here covers both those terms. Try not to confuse facts and opinions here. Too sane for most?? Really? according to who exactly? Yourself? Is this your own opinion again? I thought we had covered this. Also sheltering themselves from a so called truth that everyone has very different opinions on is again 'subjective'. Research is a very broad term. I can use 'research to support my views on particular topics whilst others can find differing research to back up their view. It's up to an individual to come to their own conclusion after hearing both sides. Based purely on my observation you clearly do talk out of your ass and no I doubt if you were ignorant on a subject you would leave it be till you have done your own research. Can you even critique areas of researchs that are not your forte? Or do you pick and choose what you like to hear? Again this is a subjective topic otherwise all scientists would either be just Athiests or Religious but they are not are they?

What the fuck do you not understand about the difference between fact and opinion? Lots of people hold vastly different views. I'm not going to give any horrible examples but those things reported in the media are most certainly not the right of any parent in my opinion. Funny if horrific things happened to you as a child that left you physically and emotionally emotionally scarred for life I doubt when you were an adult you would be defending the rights of your parents to do what they did to you. Actually according to the Police figures of the city I live in (London) Crime has been getting worse and worse since the end of world war two. In fact each decade according to Met figures shows an increase so that kind of contradicts your opinion there dosen't it? I can tell from your comment that you are clearly not educated to a University level (My opinion). If you are then it's clearly a dumbed down one such is your poorly constructed and opinionated argument. A true man of science relys on facts and strong evidence to make claims not just continually write down his opinions. I believe like most on this planet that love is what makes the world go round. I see all humanity as a great big extended family. I'am not bound by race or nationality. I believe in treating others how you yourself want to be treated. If you don't want to feel pain and be murdered as a child then don't do it to your own. Do not dish out what you can't take is my philosophy.
