It was really entertaining and I (as a fan) really enjoyed watching that fight. Chris Lytle is one of the most likable guys in the sport so I am happy for him. It may not have been a great strategy for Hardy though. I hope the UFC keeps him because with the abundance of wrestlers in this sport, the fights have been getting more and more boring each card (with a few exceptions of course).

I've always been a Hardy fan, but I've got to say I was pretty disappointed with his performance. He looked winded early on, he didnt look nearly as lean as we have seen him. I am not sure why he suddenly decided he no longer knew how to kick and then the couple of weak shots he took at a double leg eventually leading to him getting caught.. I don't know, for a man with his contract on the line it just seemed foolish and unprepared.

Disappointed Max, you know Dan is my friend. He's 10th planet family, had an unfortunate night, but he's still a great fighter and against someone like Chris Lytle, it says alot to go the distance and fight a hard boxing match. I wish I could've seen some low right kicks to open up his left hook which was paying off in the first round, but Chris's winging punches were throwing him off, plus I'm sure his game plan was not to allow any opportunities for Chris to work on the ground, hence the lack of kicking. Being a pro fighter is some insane shit, you gotta be hungry all the time for it...if you could walk a mile in his shoes

I think we all forget this sometimes when we critique fighters, which I believe is ok as fans of the sport but we have to acknowledge that even when fighters have a bad showing they are still super athletes putting it all on the line.

Fight was awesome! Lots of respect for both fighters! But come on dan what happened to stand and bang, i understand its all about strategy but that left hook towards the end look like a takedown to me.

I was a bit confused at the end with the lack of kicks, but at some point he still has to mix it up a little even against a grappler (in TKD we used to say "if they want to catch our kicks let them, if they miss we'll nail them"). I think Dan would benefit with some time away and do a few fights at Strikeforce, BAMMA, get his confidence back and then when ready return to the UFC as an undercard. I wish him the best regardless....and of course props to Lytle first time I saw him fight (I'm on this weird roll with seeing fighters on their last fights).
