good to see more people getting into this stuff. Crafty dog is a technical genius in stickfighting. He actually has mathematical theory to maximizing the probability of hitting your opponent.

dude deserves to get the attention that people like greg jackson and eddie bravo get. unfortunately stick fighting isn't exactly mainstream so who knows if that day will ever come.

grapes in gravy coated steam boats flying through a rain coat wilderness of fuck and fun. stick fighting is intense. used to do a bit of it back in 1999 when we broke broom handles off the edge of the house and tried to kill each other over a glass of tea.

Best thing I've found to transfer to mma from FMA is the constant attention to striking angles. There use of advanced angle footwork is top notch. For people that cant see it, Anderson Silva uses a lot of the female and male triangle from Filipino martial arts and Capoiera.

Old Stick Fighting Reality Promo that never made it on t.v... I wonder why???

Maybe if the government fails and bullets and water become too expensive people will be walking around with machetes and pipes feeling like Conan the Barbarian.

FINALLY someone mentions the Dog Brothers before I do. Marc "Crafty Dog" Denny is the man. Anyone here ever attend/participate in a Gathering of the Pack?

I wanted to get into stick fighting for a long time, but muay thai and jiu jitz with a little wrestling and boxing is already busting my body up enough. I don't think I could add stick fighting into the game and not get mangled. Maybe knife fighting with training knives would be okay with hockey gloves and a fencing mask.

Foam bats with helmets are fun. You also got practice knifes with chaulk so it leaves a mark. Or the shock knife. I hanvt got to play with that one yet... You dont have to stick fight to learn stick fighting. Those guys are obviously half crazy, but Im glad they test that crap on each other so people can see how grimey fighting can get.
