I think bj penn has a video for it and it works superb
Respectfully disagree, If you hook the leg properly he wouldn't have been elevated. The 1st time I rolled with Eddie, years ago, I was 210lbs he was probably 155. He threw a triangle on me and I am way more powerful then him and hooking my leg prevented me from gaining the momentum for a slam, even though I was just trying to pick him up I couldn't and I could power clean over 275lbs then. Not saying the single is a bad option but ending the fight is always the best option.

you can still slam someone on the back of their neck, and I'm not so sure how well that would go for it to happen on concrete

Hooking the leg properly works fine. Even if he elevates you the 6" to a foot he can, you can hold on to the leg to breakfall. And it wasnt a streetfight.

"But is there a defense for that body slam when you attempt to put someone in a triangle? Had that fight taken place on concrete I'm not sure Bruce Leroy would have been smiling at the conclusion."

i was responding to this question not the video, for competition purposes hooking the leg works great, I personally tapped a wrestler two days ago saying he could slam me in the triangle. Guess what he couldn't....

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've always believed falling back for the triangle/armbar combo was the best way to avoid a slam (think Nog vs Coleman). You reduce the distance between you and the ground and he's not going to have the leverage or balance to land a good slam. I could be wrong though.

No, hooking the leg is the best option to remove the leverage and balance, even with the triangle/armbar
