Man, this is exactly what has drawn me more to sambo and judo lately, although my core will always be jiu-jitsu...

The politics and shit-talk and cutthroat nature of most BJJ schools is so fucking tiring. That's part of the reason I'm so drawn to 10thplanet, as well.

Which soldier is better equipped? The one with the m4 and 9mm? Or the one with the m4, 9mm, sniper rifle, shotgun, grenades, etc? It's always smart to learn new things. It makes you better equipped (but you also gotta make sure you KNOW how to use those weapons properly to be effective).

You're 100% right, of course. Sambo has made my jiu-jitsu game 100x more dangerous, and judo has helped me a lot in those short transitions between takedown and submission. I just competed in sambo and judo in the last few weeks, but now I gotta wait for my knee to heal up before I hit it hard again... Bummer.

how do we define champion? tons of guys are out there kicking ass and taking names. winning stuff at varying levels.

Seriously he didn't say too much against the system. In fact the he regurgitated the basic message Eddie sends. Don't be 1 dimensional and be creative with your game. He also admitted his jealousy of Eddie's marketing strategy. 10th Planet JJ is certainly different, avant-garde, unorthodox, asymmetrical, laterally thought etc. Comprido is clearly stuck in the "old world". It's a new world system for a new generation of players. Remember, Bruce Lee was also ridiculed and disparaged when he unveiled Jeet Kun Do. Master Eddie just keep on keepin on! 10 For life!
