    Grip Strength

Besides working your grip strength while looking at the "Ultimate Ass thread", does anybody work to increase their grip strength? If you've ever shook a judoka's hand you can feel how rediculous their grip strength is which obviously helps their game. My theory is eventhough I'm training mostly no gi (I train a little judo as well), super grip strength will overall improve my game.

I have tiny girl hands so I never saw the point in building up an asset that I would never be able to fully realize. Actually, that's kind of what got me into using the rubber guard. The only effective posture control I had was my overhook so I developed my overhook guard which eventually led me to rubber guard. Who needs grip when you have THA SQUEEZE!

try captains of crush grippers..not the cheap plastic kind...CoC grippers are all metal and go from 60pds up to the 365 pd gripper..i think only 5 people have been certified to have closed the last one

Start doing some plate pinches or using those hand grips to pump up ur forearms, grip strength comes from there obviously, I do both

Why do you think judokas have this ultimate grip power? They pull and push each other by the gi. Hang a gi top over something and do gi pull ups.

There are better methods than this, the grip strength Judokas gain is from years and years of push pull. You will get faster results from following a grip strength routine.

Aj I was thinking the samething until I started working with eddie at all the seminars. I realized how important grip strength is along with the squeeze. You just gotta have both.
