I know i'm not the only one who...(UFC 135 spoilers)

Thinks Rampage did a good job against Jones up until the end. It was not a "flawless" victory as some have claimed. Rampage's head movement was awesome, and yes he got cracked by the infamous spinning back elbow, but he figured out the timing and caused Jones to whiff his next two. Definitely don't think Jones destroyed Rampage. Furthermore, I liked Mark Hunt's comeback victory over Louis CK...excuse me..Ben Rothwell was really exciting given how gassed the two were. I guess I'm just venting my frustration at how these fights will be remembered because the people with the biggest soapbox say so.

I think someone behind me watching said it best "does that look like the face of someone who just fought Rampage?". Although after the PPV you can see Jones icing his elbow and foot, Rampage is seen walking back (with his cut bandaged up).

Not a bad night of PPV, nxt wk I'll take it as an easy one (looking forward to seeing pat Barry fight again, he's fun to watch). Not taking away from Cruz, I know he's a good fighter too...

He hit him in the face in the beginning when Jones was crawling on all fours like the guy in Bloodsport . (I actually was glad to see him do that even if there was no damage). But even though he didn't come close to finishing Jones, he forced him to retreat a few times and looked good in the clinch. He got mounted easily, but got back to his feet quickly. I think this was way more competitive than Shogun's fight with JJ, which should be the standard by which we say Jon Jones "whooped" someone, in my opinion.

IMO UFC title fights/main events are no different then the WWE, the UFC and Mr. White are trying to make Superstars not a competitive fighting org.

Trolling aside I had the same thoughts. I thought Rampage was trying for a kind of rope-adope strategy and not doing completely terrible.

Yep... It was clear Rampage was paid to lose.

The hunch we had at APplebee's watching the fight was that Rampage was trying to see if he could handle the beating long enough to get in close and swing for the fences. The problem of course was that Jones was ready for that, and whereas Rampage pretty much only had one way to win (knockout via punches) Jones had multiple options (trade standing and get the win, takedown to GnP to win, or takedown to submission for win). Def Rampage gave a more competive fight though.

I've seen the A Team... Rampage is not that good an actor.
