I'll be competing for the time in two years; this will be the first time competing as a brown belt and also the first time competing with ankle locks as my strongest move. The beauty is no one expects ankle locks from Tenth Planet.
BTW, everyone should be aware that you have to wear black board shorts (no pants, boo!) and that the rash guard has to white or black and the color of your belt rank.
Here's the exact specs for shorts: MEN: THE COMPETITORS CAN ONLY COMPETE WITH A BLACK BOARD SHORTS. NOTE: IT IS ALLOWED THE BLACK BOARD SHORT TO HAVE UP TO 50% OF THE FABRIC IN THE COLOR OF THE BELT RANK. NO OTHER COLORS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
WOMEN: THE COMPETITORS CAN COMPETE WITH A BLACK BOARD SHORTS, ALL SOLID BLACK LYCRA SHORTS OR BLACK LYCRA PANTS.
NOTE: IT IS ALLOWED THE BLACK BOARD SHORT, THE LYCRA SHORTS OR THE LYCRA PANTS TO HAVE UP TO 50% OF THE FABRIC IN THE COLOR OF THE BELT RANK. NO OTHER COLORS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
and here's the exact specs for rash guards: A BLACK OR WHITE RASH GUARD HAVING AT LEAST 10% OF THE FABRIC WITH THE COLOR ACCORDING TO HIS/HER BELT RANK.
Note. no other colors than the belt rank colors are allowed in the white or black rash guard fabric. Brand logos and academy logos are allowed in any colors.
Also, the weight and age divisions are different. Be sure to check out the rules:
