Lot's of great points Master Eddie, but don't you think there are still a few merits to the gi for nogi if you are using all nogi techniques except when you're breaking grips?

As far as I know, the idea is that gi training forces you to prioritise technique over strength; makes you a more technical nogi fighter. More about the mindset really.
