how to deal with the un intentional dick move...

good night of rolling tonight, until our instructor was showing a wrestling style double leg. Being one of the better wrestlers, I was showing the double leg and instructor said instead of pushing with the head, to elevate and dump the other way. One of the guys who went to state, was trying the move on me as I was talking to the class, elevated and dumped me at id say 95% instead of 50. Knocked the wind outta me, bounced my head off the mat, and now an hour later my neck sounds like some peoples brakes on there car... i know that im not supposed to retaliate, but other then not rolling with him Im not sure what to do. Didnt get get an apollogy either....

Honestly....its a contact sport it happens. If it's chronic and he continues, tell your instructor you don't feel safe. If your instructor doesn't do something then its time to move on. Wrecking someone is fun but he wont know why it happened if anything it will fuel him to go harder.

its definatly not that i dont feel safe, but I dont think that when your showing something to the group, the person your talking thru the move, should wreck you lol... just frustrated i guess...

I know where u are coming from it would irritate me too. I am the dummy a lot at my school and i guess i just expect the technique to come at 100 percent. There are times when Derek and Matt have almost put me out while showing a move....idk man

He definitely should have apologized but getting injured by other people is inevitable.

Hope you get better soon Scott!

sometimes guys just need correction. Or sometimes guys wanna run through it fast to make sure they have the move down. Just tell dude, "be easy bro. We're supposed to be going 50%. If that's your 50% you're gonna have to take it down a notch so we're not hurting eachother." The key is communication. If you come at him in a polite sincere way, I'm sure he'll apologize and tone it down. If you say nothing, he might hurt other people.

I had a guy do a similar thing. He was talking to me as if he was just explaining something and then bam, arm drag to fireman carry, dumped on my head. It was a weird situation because, yes, he was showing me something but his body language didn't say, "I'm going to shoot now." He just went from talking to demoing at 110%.

So I didn't scold him, and I didn't retaliate, but every time he went to show me something I simply made light jokes about his 110% tendency. "Whoa whoa whoa, are you going to explain it to me at 20% or 110%? You have to let me know." kind of jokes. He didn't mind any of it and I think he even took it as a compliment.

Fuck that, cut his ass with a machete and make an example of his ass (kidding of course)... Do what David Rosado said or what AJ said. Both are good ways of handling things like this.
