Such a vicious sub. What's that 3 fights finished in a row with the same sub? I would feel like a dick doing it to a training partner but in competition I think its totally legit. What do you guys think of it?
I do it all the time to my training partners. It's a catch wrestling sub. Just apply it slowly, once you have it they're not going anywhere. The only thing they can do to escape is give you their neck, then you'll choke them. I think it's one of the most under utilized techniques out there. It's a shame.
I had seen it in MTS and applied that day with great success since. It is nice in practice to pre warn anyone not hip to it to tap quick before you finish it.

I was rolling with Ben Baxter Monday and he told me to go ahead and go for it because at the high level its legal. He said he was in a match against Popovitch and guarded his neck well but got his neck cranked like that.
Dude, I'm telling you it's so legit. My coach tells me "Why go to china for chinese food, when there is a buffet around the corner?". Meaning, why go for all that trouble getting under the neck, when the neck crank is right there. I mean Catch as Catch Can isn't called 'The Violent Art' for nothing.
