Is it just me or is Joe just an asshole because he even stoped mayhem during another podcast when he was telling a story about his friend that was in the army, and it was like he acused him of hamming it up for the show.

You guys, its joe's podcast, you cant blame him for what happened.. How would you feel if you knew a half million people were listening to you and you had one of the most intelligent, well spoken humans in the world calling in to run intellectual circles around you. He had nothing to gain from that situation except a lesson in humility from one of the greatest minds of our time.. I would have done the same thing. I cant blame Joe for wanting to protect his image. I see no fault on anyone behalf.

also, completely unrelated to the subject at hand.. I could see where that assumption could be made. I personally think Joe is an intelligent person, but it does often times seem as though he tends to talk down to other individuals. I mean, brian says some dumb things sometimes, (though they are funny), and joe never seems to let those comments slide without dogging on him somehow. And anytime he disagrees with someone its almost like he makes it a point to over exaggerate the idea that they are an idiot. Disagreeing is fine, and there's nothing wrong with thinking youre right.. but that doesnt mean you have to try to embarrass the other person by insulting their intelligence. But I think thats just his personality, Ive got friends who are the same way.. It doesnt make me like them any less. You just get used to it and learn to let it roll off your back.

I was making a observation how he doesn't like anthing silly (weird considering he's a comedian) and how he will just point that out, like how eddie was trying to do a Renato sketch and joe was like "no where not doing that no one will get it" rather then play it off cool. im sure he is a real nice guy but i call him an ashole jokingly cause of his lack of consideration for putting peapole on the spot.

Joe shows hints of having control issues (I don't know the guy) when he cuts people off or blatantly tells them to stop talking about something. Usually he just shuts down Brian but he's done it elsewhere as well. That being said, most of these guys are long time friends and we can't presume the context of their dialog from a handful of web shows.

I once had a friend that told the worst fucking stories. I mean, he was just verbose and long winded with some of his stories lacking any sort of arc or point. Shit was horrible. I had talked to him about it and he agreed, so he just told me to tell him to shut the fuck up when he got into that sort of rhythm, so he would know to cut to the chase. Point being, if you saw us interacting for the first time I would probably look like an asshole telling him to shut the fuck up all of the time.
