Melee has special ranked, blue, purple, brown, IBJJF approved rash guards for $35 ($45 after the worlds). They will be ready this week, worse case scenario Melee will have boxes of them at Legends on Friday and Saturday at the event

Is anyone els running into the situation where no one is in there weight class? Do we know how this works for competition and points for the team? I am currently at 135 and under and have been training to maintain being under that weight. I havent been able to get a clear answer from IBJJF. The only thing they have told me is I need to decide by 5pm pacific time on if I will be doing. I need to make a decision by tomorrow if i will be invading someone else's weight class at blue belt senior 1. I would be moving up from Pluma (122-135.5) to Pena (136-149). Not sure what everyone else is going to be weighing in at in that class but I have to be under 149 (currently walking around at 136) so i would be giving up close to 15lbs. (or more if some else is going thru a weight drop in order to be more competitive, it could be more). So i am turning here for info and advice. If someone has ran across this before pleas let me know.

No team points are given if you're the only one in the class. I think 3 is the minimum.

jhon farr and my self robert gero are both in the 149 blue belt senior 1...so that would be 3 of us in that weight class.

Each academy can only have two athletes in the same division (of age/weight/belt). If your academy has problems regarding the number of athletes in each division, please send an e-mail to IBJJF ibjjf@ibjjf.com.

...or just go masters pluma...lol thier no 10th planet guys master pluma.. either way... 10th planet wins..lol

just go to blue master masculino pluma. there's 7 guys in there, but no one from 10th planet.

they give u a medal as long as u weigh in no matter how many are in ur class..points can only be awarded if u fight someone..

Not sure if they wouldlet me move into masters due to age (36-40), looks like i may be moving into the next weight class up with Jhon and Robert and giving up the weight advantage.
