Yes, that was awesome. I felt bad for Rader since he's been training so hard for it. All of that training and I think he got submitted faster than when they met up last time.
Saw it the day it happened, I videotaped that transition on my phone so I could figure exactly what happened. It was a little like the drowning jiu but the swim failed so he jumped on the back. Super duper ultra smooth, I was blown away
Have you had a chance to try it in the gym yet? I mean I get it but I don't get how he was retaining full control regressing through the transition. Taking an arm bar out of failed back control is one thing but how do you set up back control from a failed arm bar?
I drilled it some this past weekend and it made me feel really uncoordinated. I'm having trouble figuring it out....

Rafael starts in Kimura guard then swings his left leg off the hip and around the shoulder for an omaplata. Justin then stacks the omaplata so Rafael swings his right leg around Justin's hip to apply an armbar. Justin struggles a moment then lies belly down so Rafael swings his left leg over Justin's head and around the back. ****other details: Rafael switches from hooking Justin's left leg with his left arm when he was threatening the omaplata to hooking his left leg with his right arm like the swim move when he was attacking the armbar and the back. Awesome transitions! I never thought of attacking the omaplata from kimura guard like that. Badass!!
Way too high, I was having so much trouble getting the hook in.
It's been awhile since I've seen it but the only trick I can think of is possibly loading the weight onto your shoulders like a granby roll, and then pendulum swinging your hooking leg to create momentum to swing you back onto the back. I could be way off on what he did though since I've only seen the clip a couple of times.
