The importance of the Fishnet!!!

Ok I was rolling tonight with a VERY legit purple belt and by the grace of God I landed in Twister Side-control.. It was a battle at first... I had to settle him down cuz he was trying to buck me off & shrimp away.. I got the Fishnet in and started to lace up the legs.. After I had successfully laced the legs I took the fishnet out in attempt to reach for the foot & roll... HUGE MISTAKE!!! When I let go of the fishnet it gave him just enough space to grab an underhook, shrimp away, & stick in a butterfly hook... I have always underestimated the power of the fishnet until it cost me that truck tonight... I feel very confident that if I would have got the truck, I would have tapped him because after our roll I explained to him what it was that I was trying to do & he said that he had no idea what to do from there... Man, if I would have tapped a purple belt, I would have been looking like Eddie after beating Royler & Renato could make fun of me too... I can tell you this, I will always look for the fishnet before I go for anything else cuz it truly is the ideal position of control... I can't believe I missed such an opportunity as that... FUCK!!!

The fish net is pretty much all I use to get to the truck from TSC now, on rare occasion I'll grab the foot. The fishnet just offers so much more control its a waste not to use it.

let's back up a sec. There is a forum called "The Underground" or mma.tv. If you don't pay for the pro account, you can only see the last 150 forum threads, ranked by the last time someone posted something to that thread (and they only show the top 50 threads on the first page. So if you really liked a particular thread, you would just write "ttt" which would immediately vault that thread "to the top" of the first page. This would get more people to comment on the thread, thus keeping it there.
