What Tyler said about Werdum not pinching his legs together, was true. Everyone knows you have to pinch your legs together and of course Werdum knows that but he made a mistake. Look at when Werdum goes to finish the armbar, he opens his legs when he bridges, which relieved a lot of the pressure. What Jameson said was also a good point, Werdum was under Vinny's armpit. This means he was bending his shoulder, instead of his elbow. Another thing to point out, is that Werdum's feet weren't touching the floor, so he couldn't isolate the shoulder. Every time Werdum lifted his hips up, Vinny's shoulder went up with it. Shawn Williams was pointing this out at the event. Yes, Vinny's elbows are a little more flexible than the average persons. My elbows goes backwards a lot but if the armbar is done right, it will for sure snap the elbow. Also, whenever Werdum put Vinny's arm under his armpit, Vinny would start to escape, so that's why Werdum kept switching it back and forth. I disagree that the armbar was not finished just because of Vinny having slightly flexible elbows and he's just being tough. You can be tough all you want but it doesn't mean your arm won't break. This was a combination of Werdum making mistakes, Vinny realizing those mistakes and taking advantage of it, as well as Vinny having slightly flexible elbows. Again, no one is claiming that Werdum doesn't know how to do a proper armbar. He was probably tired or got wrapped up in the heat of the moment. No one performs everything they know perfectly when competing. There are always mistakes. I thought those comments about that white belt shit were fucked up. If they said something wrong, then point it out but they didn't, unless you guys think that it's good to not pinch your knees together when doing an armbar.
